HEALS^TM goes far beyond anger management and anger control to transform anger and resentment automatically, by building a conditioned response to increase self-value whenever resentment or anger occurs. It strengthens core value, making the defensive use of anger and resentment unnecessary.

The automatic response of enhanced core value under stress requires a "basic training" period of 12 repetitions of HEALS^TM per day for six weeks. Once mastered, HEALS^TM  works like a thermostat to keep the temperature inside at optimal levels, regardless of the temperature outside. It makes you feel more powerful than ever before, as no one will be able to "push your buttons."

This program is designed to teach you the basic concepts and skills of a unique and powerful approach to emotion regulation.

 

Emotion regulation is the ability to increase self - value under stress, when you experience devaluing emotional states like resentment, anger, or anxiety.

 

Because the vast majority of our emotions are conditioned habits, the techniques taught here need to be practiced for several weeks to create lasting change. The best way to achieve this is to learn the skills in a variety of formats. Reading by itself will not help you acquire the skills, neither will just watching animated PowerPoint shows. This program combines both venues for optimal learning.

 

To help you learn the concepts and skills, this HEALS^TM program includes:

• Text explanations
• Two PowerPoint shows with audio narration

• Two animated PowerPoint shows without audio narration. These are designed for repetitive use. The pacing of the shows will help reduce anxiety and build patience.
